Concussion

Medical providers may describe a concussion as a “mild” brain injury because concussions are usually not life-threatening. Even so, the effects of a concussion can be serious. Here are some resources for concussion screening and education.

In 1982, Rep. David Hollister introduced Michigan’s first seatbelt bill. It failed to pass until 1985. Hollister and supporters pushed hard, and only New York and New Jersey were ahead of Michigan. (Z. Meyer, Detroit Free Press, 2015)
